Avis vite dit : Après Halt & Catch Fire on reste dans le domaine de l'informatique mais cette fois-ci c'est du contemporain et on glisse dans l'underweb, le monde des hackers et de l'espionnage numérique. Le début de la série est un peu difficile à cerner, le personnage central, Elliot, surdoué mais socialement handicapé rappelle un peu Dexter
