Le chat curieux

Trottinant et miro,

Il fait le beau.

Puis, curieux,

Se rapproche à pas de velours

D’un objet-oiseau qui trône sur la tour

D’une palissade. Les cieux

En sont témoin,

Il prend soin

D’inspecter la soi-disant bête,

Lève la tête

Et tente une approche féline.

Mais on devine

Que le mouvement se fait rare

Pour l’objet croisé au hasard

D’une escapade de chat.

Comprend-il soudain

Qu’il n’a pas eu là le flair fin ?

Queue basse

Il trace

Son chemin.

L’air hébété.

Sa clochette au cou tinte.

Les souris doivent rire à son passage

Qu’il ait cru au mirage !

 

Le chat vous chalut

Bien bas

Et miaule qu’on ne l’y reprendra pas.
