D'autant que ses amis ont plus que jamais besoin d'elle : Seth doit prendre en charge son grand-père convalescent et aider sa petite amie, Prynne, aux prises avec la drogue ; Derric a retrouvé sa sœur, Réjouissance, qui ignore les liens du sang qui les unissent ; Jenn, elle, est perturbée par les sentiments qu'elle éprouve pour l'une de ses coéquipières de foot.

Depuis le temps que je voulais lire cette série voilà qui est fait, comme je l'ai lue en anglais trop envie de la relire en français.
Dans la série on y retrouve Becca qui toute sa vie a été basée sur un mensonge. Elle est arrivée sur l'ile de Whidbey sous une fausse identité pour échapper à son beau-père et sa mère devait la rejoindre mais elle n'a aucune nouvelles.
Dans ce quatrième livre, Becca est toujours à sa recherche et une journaliste Olivia Bolding s'intéresse de près à la vie de Becca et sa mère. Pourra t'elle vivre cachée longtemps? Ses amis ont besoin d'elle, Seth s'occupe de son grand-père en convalescence, Prynne touche à la drogue, Derric à retrouver sa sœur qui ignore qu'elle est sa sœur. Quant à Jenn elle a des sentiments envers sa camarade de foot.
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché à l'histoire si émouvante à certains passages, prenante, addictive, captivante, remplie d'intrigue, de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages très attachants.

Since the time I wanted to read this series here it is done, as I read it in English too want to reread it in French.
In the series we find Becca who all her life has been based on a lie. She arrived on Whidbey Island under a false identity to escape her stepfather and her mother was supposed to join her but she has no news.
In this fourth book, Becca is still looking for her and a journalist Olivia Bolding takes a close look at Becca and her mother's life. Can she live in hiding for long? Her friends need her, Seth takes care of his recovering grandfather, Prynne deals with drugs, Derric tries to find his sister who doesn't know she's his sister. As for Jenn, she has feelings for her soccer friend.
A book read in one sitting, so much so that I was hooked on the story, so moving in certain passages, gripping, addictive, captivating, full of intrigue, suspense and twists and turns with very endearing characters.
