Fabrice Rose est né en 1953. Braqueur, il a renoncé à la vie qu'il s'était choisie parce que sa fille le lui demandait. Le romancier qu'il est devenu s'est nourri de cette promesse. Sans être autobiographique, cette histoire est un peu la sienne.

Je tiens à remercier les éditions Robert Laffont / La bête noire et le site Netgalley de m'avoir permis de lire ce livre.
Lors d'une visite au parloir de la maison d'arrêt de Fresne, la fille Alexandra de Marc Man exige qu'il laisse tomber sa vie de braqueur et devienne le père qu'elle à toujours voulu. Sauf que plus tard il s'évade, pour sa fille c'est un coup de chance, mais lorsqu'elle va être menacée par une bande de racketteurs fous Marc Man va faire une chasse à l'homme d'une rare férocité. Et il va en profiter pour faire un casse spectaculaire.
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché à l'histoire si prenante, captivante, addictive, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages attachants.

During a visit to the visiting room of the Fresne prison, Marc Man's daughter Alexandra demands that he give up his life as a robber and become the father she always wanted. Except that later he escapes, for his daughter it is a stroke of luck, but when she is threatened by a gang of crazy racketeers Marc Man will go on a manhunt of rare ferocity. And he's going to take advantage of it to pull off a spectacular heist.
A book read in one go, so much so that I hooked on to the story, which is so gripping, captivating, addictive, full of suspense and twists and turns with endearing characters.
