Le corps étendu sur une plaque d'acier froide porte toutes les marques du boucher de Chicago. Il y a une entaille cruelle en travers de sa gorge, assez profonde pour sectionner la carotide, et un petit croissant taillé dans son sein droit. Ses traits délicats sont douloureusement familiers à Ash Marcel, autrefois une étoile montante de la police de Chicago. Mais bien que la victime ressemble à son ancienne fiancée, Remi Walsh, il sait que ce n'est pas elle.
MAIS CETTE FOIS-CI
Bien que Rémi ait échappé à un tueur en série il y a cinq ans, son père est mort en essayant de la sauver. Le chagrin et la culpabilité l'ont poussée à s'éloigner de l'homme qu'elle aimait. Aujourd'hui, Ash est de retour dans sa vie, insistant sur le fait que Rémi est toujours en danger.
C'EST UNE IMPASSE...
Quelqu'un s'en prend à des femmes qui ressemblent à Rémi. Avec ou sans badge, Ash a l'intention de démasquer le boucher. Mais le tueur ne joue plus à ce jeu. Il emménage, prêt à finir ce qu'il a commencé, et à prouver qu'il n'y a rien de plus terrifiant que l'obsession d'un tueur...

Je tiens particulièrement à remercier les éditions Kesington books Zebra et le site Netgaley qui m'ont permis de lire ce livre qui est le quatrième de la série : "The Agency".
Tout commence lorsqu'un corps est retrouvé sur une plaque d'acier froide, tout porte à croire que l'auteur c'est le fameux boucher de Chicago. Il semblerait que la victime resemble à l'ancienne fiancée de Ash Marcel Remi Walsh.
Quant à Remi à réussi à échapper à un tueur grâce à son père qui en est mort. Aujourd'hui Remi est de retour auprès d'Ash en lui disant qu'il est en danger. Il semblerait que le tueur s'en prendrait à des sosies de Remi et Ash à bien l'intention de démasquer ce fameux boucher.
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché à l'histoire si captivante, addictive, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages attachants. Hâte de lire la série au complète.

I would particularly like to thank the Kesington books Zebra editions and the Netgaley website for allowing me to read this book which is the fourth in the series: "The Agency".
It all starts when a body is found on a cold steel plate, everything leads us to believe that the author is the famous butcher of Chicago. It seems that the victim looks like the former fiancée of Ash Marcel Remi Walsh.
As for Remi, he managed to escape from a killer thanks to his father who died from it. Today Remi is back with Ash telling him that he is in danger. It would seem that the killer would attack Remi's look-alikes and Ash has every intention of unmasking this famous butcher.
A book read in one go, so much so that I hooked into the story, so captivating, addictive, full of suspense and twists and turns with endearing characters. Can't wait to read the complete series.
