C'était censé être le début de la vie universitaire, et l'école a pensé qu'une chasse au trésor serait un moyen amusant de se faire de nouveaux amis. Dommage pour nous, le Musée de la Magie et des Merveilles avait d'autres projets.
Lorsque Val fait équipe avec Mack, Coop et Buddy pour trouver les joyaux cachés de la ville, cela semble être une façon amusante de passer une journée avant qu'ils ne plongent tous dans le stress de leur première année de faculté. Mais s'aventurer dans un petit musée qui n'est pas sur leur carte change tout.
Aspirée dans un portail magique, Val se retrouve projetée dans le passé, dans l'Italie ancienne, bien que ce ne soit pas l'Italie qu'elle a étudiée en cours d'histoire. Tout le monde se comporte comme si elle était dans un jeu vidéo, mais sa vie est en danger.
Val peut-elle trouver les autres et s'échapper du monde étrange dans lequel elle se trouve maintenant ? Ou sera-t-elle coincée pour toujours ?

Je tiens à remercier le site Booksprout et les éditions L&L Literary Services, LLC de m'avoir permis de lire ce livre.
J'ai été attiré par la couverture de ce livre qui m'a donné envie de le lire.
Pour Val c'était censé être le commencement de son année d'université sauf que l'école à pensé qu'une chasse au trésor serait le moyen de ce faire de nouveaux amis. Sauf que le musée de la magie et de merveilles avait d'autres plans au fait.
Val va devoir faire équipe avec Mack, Coop et Buddy pour chercher les joyaux cachés dans la ville. Une sorte de façon amusante de passer la journée avant d'être dans le stress de cette première année de faculté. Sauf qu'ils vont s'aventurer dans un musée qui n'était pas prévu sur leur carte. Val va se retrouvée aspirée dans un portail magique qui la projettera dans le passé en Italie ancienne où tout le monde se comporte comme dans un jeu vidéo et Val est en danger.
Val réussira t'elle à s'échapper? Où sera t'elle coincée pour de bon?
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché à l'histoire si prenante, addictive, captivante et remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages très attachants. Hâte de lire la suite.

I was drawn to the cover of this book which made me want to read it.
For Val it was supposed to be the beginning of her college year, except that the school thought that a scavenger hunt would be a way to make new friends. Except that the Museum of Magic and Wonders had other plans, by the way.
Val is going to have to team up with Mack, Coop and Buddy to look for hidden gems in the city. Kind of a fun way to get through the day before the stress of that first year of college. Except they're going to venture into a museum that wasn't on their map. Val will find herself sucked into a magical portal that will project her into the past in ancient Italy where everyone is behaving like a video game and Val is in danger.
Will Val manage to escape? Where will she be stuck for good?
A book read in one go, so much so that I hooked on the story which is so gripping, addictive, captivating and full of suspense and twists and turns with very endearing characters. Can't wait to read the book two.
