Qui ne connaît l'hymne protestataire d'Another brick in the wall commençant par "we don't need no education, we don't need no thought control" et le clip en partie animé où l'on voit des élèves d'une école anglaise portant d'horribles masques tomber dans une machine à fabriquer de la chair à saucisse, le boucher n'étant autre que leur professeur? Ce n'est que l'un des moments phares du long-métrage musical de Alan PARKER, sorte de cauchemar sous acide mélangeant prises de vue réelles et animation et non-linéaire dans sa narration (mais cohérent tout de même) où une star du rock (prénommée Pink ^^ et jouée par Bob GELDOF mais inspirée en partie de la vie de Roger WATERS) traverse paradoxalement depuis la chambre d'hôtel où il s'est bunkérisé 40 ans d'histoire individuelle et collective.
