Venice, 19th October 2022: Panodyssey lands in Italy
On the 19th October 2022 the European project CREA and the cultural networking platform Panodyssey were presented in Italy. The press conference took place in the Venetian Office of the European Council, in San Marco's square, Venice.
Panodyssey is a unique social media platform dedicated to writing and reading. It helps authors to publish in various European languages and share their creations as well as photos and videos. This media platform pursues intellectual freedom and copyright protection, defending the publishing authors according to the European legislation. Each content needs a certified creator to be published, in this way Panodyssey prevents disinformation and fake news, phenomena that are increasingly widespread in today's digitalized world. At Panodyssey each author can specify the category of the contents, and arrange them according to subject or tool. Each user can indicate their interest in order to show just the relevant articles on the home page.
The idea of the social media platform Panodyssey was initiated by French entrepreneur and media executive Alexandre Leforestier, who introduced the iniziative with the following words:
I've been dreaming of a media platform where creators could easily co-create and publish novels, stories, poems and illustrations by giving them the freedom to create without the pressure. I've been dreaming of a media platform where the users chose their own subject of interest. I've been dreaming of a media platform where anybody could write anithing they wanted.
What venue more suitable for the press convention launching Panodyssey in Italy than Venice, a dream city famous in the entire world for the role played in the dissemination of ideas and culture through the press and where the early copyright law was born?
Today we live in a world where the circulation of contents occurs not only trough paper, but more and more through digital tools. Adopting these new tools and being involved in them is a fundamental challenge for publishers, who are above all cultural mediators.
Our hearty thanks go to Panodyssey for recognizing the role and value of publishing houses and for involving us, and thanks to Venetian Cluster for choosing Linea edizioni publishing house and media partner of this project.
For this event, we especially thank the Head of the Venetian Office of the European Council Ms Luisella Pavan-Woolfe, the Coucilor of the Veneto Region Mr Roberto Bet, the project leader Mr Alexandre Leforestier, the President of the Venetian Cluster Mr Gian Angelo Bellati as well as all the collaborators and participants. We also thank Mr Corrado Scrascia, for his hospitality in the wonderful headquarters of the Venetian Compagnia della Vela.
We leave here the link to watch the recording of the press convention.
Best regards
