Steve Frech lives in Los Angeles. His best-selling thrillers, DARK HOLLOWS, NIGHTINGALE HOUSE, and DEADLY GAMES, are available in all e-book formats and paperback from HQ Stories & Harper Collins.
The first novel in his new thriller detective series, CHERRY LANE, will be published in September 2021.
In addition to writing, he is the co-creator of 'Sports? with Jessimae Peluso' for Comedy Central. He is also the creator, producer, and host of the award-nominated 'Random Awesomeness' podcast, which has been developed for television by the Emmy-award winning team at 'Thank You, Brain! Productions'.
He is phenomenal at bar trivia, enjoys cooking, and is a frustrated Chicago Bears fan.

Pour les fans de Stephen King, Mark Edwards et The Haunting of Hill House, voici l'histoire sombre d'une maison mystérieuse hantée par la tragédie.
La maison Nightingale est un nouveau départ pour le veuf Daniel Price et sa jeune fille Caitlyn. Après des mois de deuil, c'est ici qu'ils vont commencer leur vie en tant que famille de deux personnes.
Mais quelque chose ne va pas : Daniel n'arrive pas à s'installer. Il y a une étrange sensation de froid dans la chambre principale, et un mystérieux bruit de goutte à goutte qui semble se déplacer d'une pièce à l'autre. Des murmures de "Je ne peux pas dormir" résonnent dans les couloirs, jusque tard dans la nuit.
Et puis Daniel découvre l'histoire effrayante de la famille qui vivait dans la maison des années auparavant, une histoire de trahison, de tragédie et de meurtre. La maison Nightingale ne serait-elle pas la maison dont Daniel rêvait pour sa fille, mais un lieu qui donnerait vie à leurs pires cauchemars ?
Ma chronique :
Je tiens à remercier les éditions HQ Digital et le site Netgalley de m'avoir permis de lire ce livre.
L'histoire se déroule à la maison de Nightingale et là haut sera un nouveau départ pour Daniel Price veuf et sa fille Caitlyn.
Sauf que Daniel n'arrive pas à trouver ses marques dans cette maison, il ressent une sensation de froid dans la chambre à coucher et une sorte de gouttes à gouttes se déplaçant de pièces en pièces. Quelqu'un semble murmurer tard les nuits : "Je ne peux pas dormir". Et Daniel va en apprendre plus sur la famille qui habitait là auparavant. Il semblerait qu'il y ai eu trahison et meurtre.
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché à l'histoire si prenante, addictive, captivante, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages très attachants.

The story takes place at the Nightingale house and up there will be a new beginning for Daniel Price widower and his daughter Caitlyn.
Except that Daniel can't find his feet in this house, he feels a cold sensation in the bedroom and a sort of dripping moving from room to room. Someone seems to whisper late at night: "I can't sleep". And Daniel will learn more about the family that used to live there. It seems that there was betrayal and murder.
A book read in one go so much I was hooked on the story so gripping, addictive, captivating, full of suspense and twists with very endearing characters.
