SA Today best-selling author Allie was born and raised in a very small town in upstate New York, which probably explains her fascination with the magic of small town life.
She earned her B.A. in English, with a minor in Education, from the University of Rochester in New York and then moved to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she earned her M.A. in English Literature.
Since 1997, Allie has enjoyed life in the northern NYC suburbs, where she lives with her husband and teaches high school English during the day. When she isn't teaching, she's writing about small towns (with lots of secrets and spice!). Summary :

Now they're back.

Il y a dix ans, Piper Townsend est tombée du haut d'une maison de fraternité, et personne à Drake Isle n'a jamais été le même. La fraternité de Blake Carter a été scandalisée. Le Misterion College a complètement fermé ses portes. Et la petite amie de Blake, Emerson Doyle, a fui l'île après la mort de sa meilleur amie et n'a jamais regardé derrière elle.
Maintenant, ils sont de retour.
Blake est le PDG d'une entreprise technologique de plusieurs millions de dollars qui cherche à s'installer sur l'île. Emerson possède un studio de yoga dans l'immeuble qu'il veut acheter. Ils ne se sont pas parlé depuis dix ans. Ils sont dans des camps opposés à la table des négociations.
Mais les vieilles flammes ont la vie dure.
Et plus Blake et Emerson se battent contre le passé et entre eux, plus ils se rendent compte qu'accepter la tragédie est leur seule chance de retrouver l'amour...
Mon avis :
Je tiens particulièrement à remercier les éditions DFM Publishing de m'avoir permis de lire ce livre qui est le premier de la série : "Drake Isle".
On apprend que dix ans auparavant Piper est tombée du toit de la maison de fraternité et à Drake Isle plus personne n'a jamais été le même depuis cet accident. Cette fraternité de Blake Carter à été offusquée. Quant à Emerson elle a quitté l'ile après la mort de sa meilleure amie.
De nos jours ils sont de retour. Blake est le PDG d'une entreprise qui veux s'implanter sur Drake Isle et Emerson à un studio pour y pratiquer du Yoga dans l'immeuble que Blake veux acheter. Cela fait dix ans qu'ils ne se sont pas vu et les négociations vont être tendues. Blake et Emerson vont se rendre finalement compte que plus ils se battent pour affronter leur passé plus ils acceptent ce qu'il s'est passé dix ans auparavant.
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché à l'histoire si captivante, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages attachants. Hâte de lire la suite.

I would especially like to thank DFM Publishing for allowing me to read this book which is the first in the series: "Drake Isle".
We learn that ten years ago Piper fell from the roof of the fraternity house and in Drake Isle nobody has ever been the same since this accident. This fraternity of Blake Carter was offended. As for Emerson she left the island after the death of her best friend.
Now they're back. Blake is the CEO of a company that wants to locate on Drake Isle and Emerson at a studio to practice yoga in the building that Blake wants to buy. It's been 10 years since they haven't seen each other and negotiations are going to be tense. Blake and Emerson will finally realize that the more they struggle to face their past, the more they will accept what happened ten years ago.
A book read in one go, so much so that I hooked into the story so captivating, full of suspense and twists and turns with endearing characters. Can't wait to read the book two..
