Sometimes, I wonder why I am even here. I think we all want to be heard, seen, and appreciated in the digital world. I'm an introvert; even I crave that (not gonna lie). But blogging platforms are oversaturated, and I wanted somewhere chill, with less noise, where I don't feel pressured to share. Just write. So that's why I'm here. Anyway—

I saw this painting today, Pornocrates. And I was reminded of my story idea (2023).

I was brainstorming for inspiration, and I got Pornocrates, Studio Ghibli’s wild boar spirits (Princess Mononoke), Marco Pagot (Porco Rosso), Chihiro’s parents who turned into pigs (Spirited Away), and mythological pigs! There's the story of a pig-faced woman. So why pigs? I guess because we raised pigs. Maybe that's how my brain connected the dots.

The Lady with the Pig, or Pornocrates, is a beautiful painting. Glad to have found it in my feed. And now, I'm reading the story idea I had abandoned.
