Under a moonless sky, my mind’s a ragin’ fire,

Ruminations claw my skull, loops so dire.

Cravin’ obsessions, forgetting my name,

Alone in my thoughts with no one else to blame.

Me and my demons drag a long, lonesome trail,

Through rain, snow, or hail, they stick like a nail.

Heavy tracks mark my endless fugue,

Deep run the sorrow and the solitude.

Crossed plains, valleys, and forests like before,

Worn down to dust, I don’t enjoy it anymore.

Tired horse, beat rider, both draggin’ along,

Prayin’ this load don’t break us too long.

[CHORUS]

At a crossroad, she whispered my name,

Lilith swore she’d douse the flame.

To tame my demons, send ‘em to the wall:

Just a drop of blood, and I’m hers to call.

Small price to pay to ease my soul’s ache,

By a campfire’s glow, I sealed my fate.

Three days gone, the weight’s off my chest,

Lilith kept her word—gave my spirit rest.

My mind’s clear now, the fog’s blown away,

I’m lone but alive, ridin’ free today.

Lilith don’t change this cowboy’s core,

Solitude’s my home, but I’m haunted no more.

With the demon haze lifted, I see the light,

I ride, I watch, I live, no need to fight.

Her gift was truth, cut through the lies,

Now I chase the stars under open skies.

[CHORUS]

At a crossroad, she whispered my name,

Lilith swore she’d douse the flame.

To tame my demons, send ‘em to the wall:

Just a drop of blood, and I’m hers to call.

I drink a bit more since she crossed my way,

Hands shake some, but I’m steady today.

Emotions run free, no longer confined,

My gun stays holstered as peace guards my mind.

[CHORUS]

At a crossroad, she whispered my name,

Lilith doused that ragin’ flame.

Back on the trail, I’m whole in my prime,

Ridin’ for the stars, reachin’ the sublime.
