Why It’s Essential to Make Time for Passion and Creativity

We forget our goals when we are caught in the rhythm and reality of a busy life. Lifestyle – mortgages, kids and all that tend to take their toll and leave little or no time for dream chasing. However, putting creativity to the side has consequences – to our well-being, happiness, and career satisfaction.

Oh yes, for some reason or the other, I have been known to derail my goals more than once. 

Several years ago, trying to cope with different work pressures, I decided to shelve my desire to become an author of a book. Again, “someday” was reduced to the mirage as deadlines piled up like the series of the nextadesks. The flame that ignited my imagination because of curiosity and imagination slowly begin to grow dull without the outlet. I had no energy and satisfaction in my body.

It was only when I was suffering again from my nagging self-doubts and the generalized unhappiness, that I began to understand that window’s time was meant to be u
