J.S.Monroe is the pseudonym of British author Jon Stock. Jon read English at Magdalene College, Cambridge and lives in Wiltshire with his wife and children.
The Other you, his latest J.S.Monroe psychological thriller, was published in January 2020 to widespread critical acclaim. The movie rights to Dead Spy Running, a spy thriller published by HarperCollins in 2009, were acquired by Warner Bros and the film is currently in development with the director McG. Oscar-winner Stephen Gaghan wrote the original script.
Dead Spy Running, written under the name Jon Stock, has been published in five languages and was the first in the Daniel Marchant Trilogy. Games Traitors Play was published in 2011 and Dirty Little Secret was published in July 2012.
He is the author of two other spy thrillers: The Riot Act (1997), which was shortlisted for the Crime Writer's Association debut crime novel award, and The Cardamom Club (2003). Both titles will soon republished in the UK as ebooks by Head of Zeus.
He has also written a spy novella, To Snare A Spy, which was commissioned by the Nare Hotel in Cornwall and features a 15-year-old aspiring spy called Noah.
Stock left the Daily Telegraph in 2015 to write full time. He has worked in India as a foreign correspondent, and in Cochin, Kerala for the Week magazine.

Résumé :

Depuis le temps que je voulais lire ce livre voilà qui est fait, J'adore la couverture de ce livre, magnifique.
On y retrouve Rosa une brillante étudiante de Cambridge ayant perdu son père suite à une mort tragique. Un soir cinq ans auparavant, elle va se précipiter au bord d'une falaise et se jeter dans le vide. Cela est considéré comme un suicide, mais en est-ce vraiment un?
Quant à Jar son petit ami, il ne compte pas lâcher l'affaire, il l'a voit partout, cela l'obsède jusqu'au jour il reçoit un courriel lui demandant de la retrouver avant que d'autres ne le fassent. Il va tenter d'en savoir plus sur le passé de Rosa.
Un livre lu en quelques jours, j'ai accroché de suite à l'histoire si émouvante à certains passages, addictive, captivante, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages très attachants. J'adore la plume de l'auteur si addictive, hâte de lire : "La femme sans nom" qui me tente trop à lire.

I've been wanting to read this book for a long time now, I love the cover of this book, it's beautiful.
It features Rosa, a brilliant Cambridge student who lost her father in a tragic death. One evening five years earlier, she was about to jump off a cliff and throw herself off. This is considered a suicide, but is it really a suicide?
As for Jar, her boyfriend, he won't give up, he sees her everywhere, he is obsessed with her until one day he receives an email asking him to find her before others do. He will try to find out more about Rosa's past.
A book read in a few days, I immediately hooked on the story, so moving in some passages, addictive, captivating, full of suspense and twists and turns with very endearing characters. I love the author's pen so addictive, eager to read: "Forget my name" that tempts me too much to read.
