TEMS at the EBU Production Technology Seminar 2025: Shaping the Future of Media Data Space

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) hosted the annual Production Technology Seminar 2025, a key industry event dedicated to the latest and upcoming advancements in media production technology. This seminar served as a critical platform for professionals making strategic technical decisions.

This year, a dedicated session explored the role of the future Media Data Space in digital supply chains, highlighting their potential to enhance interoperability, automate workflows, and reduce costs. This data space also improves content referencing, making it easier to search, find, and monetize assets across different organizations within the supply chain.

TEMS was a central topic in the session, with ISAN and INA presenting on “Media Data Space and Collaboration in the Production Chain.” Their presentation introduced TEMS and its significance for the audiovisual industry, outlining key use cases and future perspectives. A special focus was placed on the three initial use cases that were developed and implemented by TAMIS:

  1. A shared dashboard between producers and post-production houses to monitor asset manufacturing and collect relevant metadata.
  2. A live demonstration showcasing TEMS’ capabilities.
  3. Broadcast information enrichment with ISAN identifiers, enabling better collaboration with rights management organizations.

Additionally, a joint demonstration by Lum::Invent, ISAN, France Télévisions, and SwissTxT showcased the TEMS Trusted European Media data Space in action. The demo featured contributions from France TV, Swiss Text, and Dreamwall by RTBF, illustrating how TEMS facilitated decentralized catalog management. This included enabling producers, distributors, platforms, and channel editors to search across partner catalogs, share content, and monetize secondary market productions—such as existing subtitles or markers.

TEMS was proud to contribute to this session, helping to drive innovation and collaboration within the European media ecosystem. The Production Technology Seminar 2025 was a pivotal moment to explore how TEMS could revolutionize content workflows and enhance industry-wide interoperability.
