Lilith
Under a moonless sky, my mind’s a ragin’ fire,
Ruminations claw my skull, loops so dire.
Cravin’ obsessions, forgetting my name,
Alone in my thoughts with no one else to blame.
Me and my demons drag a long, lonesome trail,
Through rain, snow, or hail, they stick like a nail.
Heavy tracks mark my endless fugue,
Deep run the sorrow and the solitude.
Crossed plains, valleys, and forests like before,
Worn down to dust, I don’t enjoy it anymore.
Tired horse, beat rider, both draggin’ along,
Prayin’ this load don’t break us too long.
[CHORUS]
At a crossroad, she whispered my name,
Lilith swore she’d douse the flame.
To tame my demons, send ‘em to the wall:
Just a drop of blood, and I’m hers to call.
Small price to pay to ease my soul’s ache,
By a campfire’s glow, I sealed my fate.
Three day
