Petite précision linguistique pour l’utilisation de dwarves. Dans un avant-propos du Hobbit publié en 1937, J.R.R. Tolkien indique que le pluriel correct de dwarf est dwarfs. Et l’adjectif est dwarfish. Suite à quoi, il précise que dans cette histoire dwarves et dwarvish sont utilisés, mais uniquement pour parler du peuple ancien auquel Thorn Oakenshield et ses compagnons appartiennent. Maintenant, vous savez d’où je tiens cette orthographe.
Ce genre de référence littéraire est assez courant dans le Heavy Metal, contrairement à ce que certaines personnes pensent. C’est vrai, qu’il est facile de préjuger de ce que l’on ne connait pas.
