10 Years Is a Period Long Enough to Make Me Homesick
When the cab turned onto the road to my village, I was anxious.
Earlier this year in particularly last September, I went back to my hometown for the first time in ten years, to say I feel homesick.
After almost two hours in the air, the plane was able to set down at the airport. We then took a cab. When we near my village I asked the driver to slow down; so that I can see the Mountains, the River as well as the Field.
I rejoiced in my spirit.
As the cab fled to the road that links my village, I felt worried. Standing beside the road, the children opened their round eyes wide at me. They were strangers and could not recognize me, and so some of them laughed as they chased the cab. The old men and villagers who were present appeared to know me, but were not so sure until the cab drew to a standstill at our house. As the driver opened the door, all the neighbors came.
My brother greeted them. They hugged me and cried. I was very moved. L
