Sur sa route elle rencontre
Un héron tout blanc
Qui taraudé par son ombre
Avance malgré tout sans encombre

A leur croisement le feu la quitta
Se déposa sur les ailes du hérons qui s'embrasa
Sans attendre il devint cendre
Le héron en ressortit tout neuf
Avec dans son bec un sou neuf
Qu'il déposa aux pieds de la demoiselle
La dame le récupéra tout à son aise
Puis s'en alla par vents et par vaux
Continuer sa route soleil tout beau
