Green Tales explore notre rapport au monde par le récit et la création. Interprété par un trio à cordes de jeunes musiciens espagnols, ce concert propose un conte musical où se croisent terre, enfance, culture et avenir.

Green Tales explores our relationship with the world through storytelling and creation. Performed by a young Spanish string trio, this concert weaves a musical tale between earth, childhood, culture and future.

Les impressionnistes ont rendu célèbre le Pays de Caux dans le monde entier. Braque, Monet, Manet, Satie.

Ils ont fait évoluer les mentalités et les arts de vivre. Leur philosophie s’est répandue comme les flots de la Seine qui nourrissent les herbiers et les jardiniers de sa source à son estuaire, entre Honfleur et le Havre.

Un jour, une dame rencontre un des plus grands musiciens de tous les temps. Cette dame s’appelle Marianne. Elle découvre en plein paradis Cauchois, un havre de paix et de silence chargé de culture indienne. C’est le début d’une histoire, et sans cette histoire je ne serais pas ici, au milieu des champs et des potagers, à quelques pas des falaises cauchoises, là où je suis né ! Marianne, où suis-je ? Raconte-moi un conte s’il te plaît…

… Tu ne rêves pas, tu es bien dans ce beau pays cauchois découvert par un sage indien qui venait du Gujarat et qui souhaitait créer son centre ayurvédique en France. Il s’installa à Sassetot-le-Mauconduit, petit village à l’appellation poétique, célèbre pour son immense château, où l’impératrice Sissi séjourna de longs mois. Elle descendait à la plage des Petites Dalles dans le plus grand secret, plongeant avec délice dans les eaux couleur de jade de la minuscule plage aux galets sonores, flanquée de falaises ocres et jaunes.

Combien d’artistes ont déambulé le long de cette plage, y recherchant l’inspiration ou la lumière ? J’y ai accompagné Yehudi Menuhin et Kiran Vyas, échangeant tous deux sur la beauté de la culture indienne, tandis que le soleil plongeait dans la mer…

Voilà où tu te trouves Alexandre : dans un petit paradis sur terre, chez toi au milieu des bocages normands, et qui réunit des cultures du monde entier, afin de les inspirer et les nourrir, pour qu’elles repartent ensuite essaimer ailleurs. Tapovan, le rêve d’un homme sage qui attire d’autres sagesses.

The Pays de Caux owes much of its international reputation to the Impressionists. Braque, Monet, Manet, Satie. They changed not only the arts, but the way people looked at the world and lived in it. Their vision spread like the Seine itself, flowing from its source to the sea, shaping landscapes and minds between Honfleur and Le Havre.

One day, a woman meets one of the greatest musicians of all time. Her name is Marianne. In the heart of the Pays de Caux, she discovers a place that feels like a small paradise, a haven of silence, steeped in Indian culture. This is where a story begins. And without that story, I wouldn’t be here today, among fields and vegetable gardens, just steps away from the Cauchois cliffs, in the place where I was born. Marianne, where am I? Please tell me a story...

… You’re not dreaming, You’re here, in this beautiful corner of the Pays de Caux, discovered years ago by an Indian sage from Gujarat. He came to France with the wish of creating an Ayurvedic centre, and chose to settle in Sassetot-le-Mauconduit, a small village with a lyrical name, known for its vast château where Empress Sisi once stayed for many months. From there, she would slip away in secret to the beach at Les Petites Dalles, diving into the jade-coloured water of a tiny pebble shore, where the stones murmur underfoot and ochre and yellow cliffs rise on either side.

How many artists have wandered along this beach, searching for light or inspiration? I walked here with Yehudi Menuhin and Kiran Vyas, the two of them talking about the beauty of Indian culture, as the sun slowly sank into the sea.

This is where you are, Alexandre, in a small paradise on earth, at home among the Norman hedgerows. A place where cultures from across the world come together, to inspire one another, to take root, and then to travel on again. Tapovan, the dream of a wise man, drawing other forms of wisdom to it.
