Le ciel, telle une sombre fourrure animale,
Se mouvait, s’étirait, brun et blanc, hiémal,
Et émanait la lune, cachée par les nuages.
Tout était si divin, si grand, enveloppant
Un humble jardin, son herbe et ameublement,
De son vaste et vivant corps, où l’on se perdrait.
Cette terre, éclairée d’incolores rayons,
Immobile auparavant, prenait ici vie,
Et le temps d’un instant, s’étendant, s’agrandit,
Et atteint d’une main le ciel qui tressaillit.
