Quel est ce fléau intérieur
Qui me consume de langueur
Me laissant en proie à l’ennui,
à une affreuse mélancolie ?
Cet obstiné compagnon, tel
Un petit diablotin fidèle
Chargé de douce mélancolie,
Mue l’avenir en longue nuit.
Insidieusement il caresse
Puis enveloppe mon esprit,
En m’incitant à la paresse
Il anéantit toute vie.
Dis ! Rompons cette monotonie
Qui furieusement me tient tête !
Et, allons voir si l’ancolie
Bleue, tinte de toutes ses clochettes.
