Chaque matin, avant de sortir de son lit, Anita se forçait à respirer lentement et comptait jusqu'à dix, trois fois.
Dans la rue, chaque fois qu'elle entendait un chien aboyer, elle s'arrêtait, tournait la tête vers la gauche et comptait jusqu'à sept.
Chaque fois qu'elle entendait un bébé pleurer, son cœur se serrait. Elle croisait l'index et le majeur de la main droite, deux fois.
Chaque fois qu'elle voyait une flasque de mauvais alcool vide, posée à même le sol ou en équilibre au bord d'une poubelle ou d'un muret, elle fermait les yeux, retenait sa respiration et faisait quatre pas.
Ses journées étaient bien remplies, et c'était aussi bien
