Hearthfire Hallelujah
Hearthfire Hallelujah
Mismatched mugs on the table,
Crumbs from breakfast by the plates,
Tiny socks along the hallway,
Little laughter that still echoes late.
You hum a tune in the kitchen,
Kids draw suns that touch the sky,
All this ordinary magic
Is the reason I’m alive.
Rain taps slow on the window,
Storybooks across the floor,
We build castles, out of blankets,
Guarded by the bedroom door.
You fall asleep on my shoulder,
Cartoons fading into dreams,
In this soft and holy quiet,
We are richer than we seem.
Hearthfire Hallelujah!
This is what forever means,
Your hand, our children’s voices
Dancing through our small routines.
Hearthfire Hallelujah!
Every breath and every night,
Turn the pages, turn the seasons,
Love keeps everything in light.
Years will blur like distant lanterns,
Faces growing, moving on
But this room, this glow, this moment,
Stays a lantern that lives on.
So if someday we start forgetting,
Let this melody remind,
How our simple days together,
Were the treasure, were the prize.

The magic of everyday life...
How amazing the ordinary can be...
It's in the way we look at things...
Love changes everything 🙂
