Au moment où je prononce cette phrase, la réalité et la gravité des mots que je venais d’employer me frappent. Comme quand on prononce une pensée et qu’elle se matérialise subitement. Je suspends mon souffle, feignant de respirer les arômes s’échappant du vin rubis que je fais tournoyer dans mon verre, tout en observant l’impact de chaque syllabe. De l’autre côté de notre table aux lumières tamisées avec vue sur le port, je perçois une lueur de joie ou d’exaltation dansant au fond des prunelles d’Emmanuel.
