Susanne Dunlap is the author of nine works of historical fiction. A graduate of Smith College with a PhD in Music History from Yale University, Susanne grew up in Buffalo, New York and has lived in London, Brooklyn and Northampton, MA. She now lives in Northampton with her long-time partner, Charles, has two grown daughters, three granddaughters, a grandson, a stepson and a stepdaughter, five step-grandsons and one step-granddaughter—that's a total of four children and eleven grandchildren!
In her spare time she cycles in the beautiful Pioneer Valley

Susanne Dunlap est l'auteur de neuf ouvrages de fiction historique. Diplômée du Smith College et titulaire d'un doctorat en histoire de la musique de l'université de Yale, Susanne a grandi à Buffalo, dans l'État de New York, et a vécu à Londres, Brooklyn et Northampton, MA. Envoyés pour leur propre protection lorsqu'ils étaient très jeunes, Azemar et Azalaïs se séparent lorsqu'ils fuient la bande de hors-la-loi qui leur servait de supposés protecteurs. Armés seulement de souvenirs fugaces, de leurs noms, et de l'intelligence qui les a aidés à survivre à des conditions brutales, ils luttent pour se retrouver et découvrir le passé mystérieux qui les lie à travers la distance et le temps. Je tiens à remercier les éditions Bellastoria Press et le site Netgalley pour m'avoir permis de lire ce livre.
Ce livre est le premier livre de la série : "The Oprhan of Tolosa"
On y retrouve Azemar et Azalais qui quand ils étaient très jeunes ont du se séparer pour fuir une bande de hors la loi. Ils vont par tous les moyens chercher à se retrouver et chercher ce qui les lies avec leur passé mystérieux. Qui sont ils? Ont ils un lien avec le légendaire trésor cathare?
J'ai accroché de suite à l'histoire si captivante, addictive, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages attachants. Hâte de lire la suite.

This book is the first book of the series: "The Oprhan of Tolosa".
We find Azemar and Azalais who, when they were very young, had to split up to flee a gang of outlaws. They will by all means try to find each other again and look for what links them with their mysterious past. Who are they? Do they have a link with the legendary Cathar treasure?
I immediately hooked on the story so captivating, addictive, full of suspense and twists and turns with endearing characters. Can't wait to read the book two.
