Emma Saucet a grandi dans la région parisienne. Entre sa passion pour les animaux et son adoration pour les enfants, elle lit et écrit des histoires d'amour qui lui permettent de voyager. Elle écrit sa première histoire à neuf ans, à onze ans elle ouvre un blog et y écris des fanfiction avec lesquelles elle prend un réel goût pour l'écriture. Avec l'encouragement de ses abonnés, elle commence à écrire et imaginer ses propres personnages.

Elle écrit des textes qui s'inspirent de l'actualité, de ses expériences, de ce contre quoi elle veut lutter.

Elle a déjà paru deux romans aux Editions Alter Real. Un autre suivra au printemps 2022 toujours dans la même maison d'édition tandis que son prochain roman paraîtra en fin d'année 2021 aux éditions Harper Collins dans la collection &H Digital.

A few words about the author :

Emma Saucet grew up in the Paris area. Between her passion for animals and her adoration for children, she reads and writes love stories that allow her to travel. She wrote her first story at the age of nine, at eleven she opened a blog and wrote fanfiction with which she developed a real taste for writing. With the encouragement of her subscribers, she began to write and imagine her own characters.

She writes texts that are inspired by current events, her experiences, and what she wants to fight against.

She has already published two novels with Editions Alter Real. Another one will follow in spring 2022 still in the same publishing house while her next novel will be published at the end of 2021 by Harper Collins in the collection &H Digital.

L’avenir de Chloé semblait tout tracé : de bonnes notes, le club de natation du lycée, ses amis... Mais elle l’apprend à ses dépens, rien n’est jamais écrit d’avance. Pendant un an, elle doit rester loin du lycée. À son retour, elle n’espère qu’une chose : retrouver une vie normale, et laisser le passé derrière elle.

Mais tout ne se passe pas comme elle l’avait prévu, à commencer par la natation. Elle n’est plus au niveau, et risque de perdre sa place dans l’équipe, de perdre ce qui la maintient hors de l’eau. Le proviseur lui fait alors une proposition : elle aide Ben, l’un des meilleurs nageurs aux résultats catastrophiques, à avoir de bonnes notes, et en retour, lui l’entraîne.

Un bon deal, non ? En apparence. Parce que Ben est tout ce qu’elle veut éviter : un sportif au physique parfait et qui attire un peu trop la lumière.

Mais Ben n’est pas qui il prétend être, et derrière son sourire charmeur, se cachent bien des ténèbres qui menacent d’absorber Chloé.
Ben pourra-t-il la protéger de ce qu’il est ? Chloé saura-t-elle tenir éloignées ses propres ténèbres ?

Summary :

Chloe's future seemed to be all mapped out: good grades, the high school swimming club, her friends... But she learns the hard way that nothing is ever written in advance. For a year, she has to stay away from school. When she comes back, she hopes for only one thing: to get back to a normal life, and to leave the past behind her.

But not everything went as she had planned, starting with swimming. She is no longer at the level she should be, and risks losing her place on the team, losing what keeps her out of the water. The principal makes her a proposition: she helps Ben, one of the best swimmers with catastrophic results, to get good grades, and in return, he coaches her.

A good deal, right? On the surface. Because Ben is everything she wants to avoid: a perfect-looking athlete who attracts a little too much attention.

But Ben isn't who he says he is, and behind his charming smile lies a darkness that threatens to absorb Chloe.

Je tiens à remercier les éditions Alter Real pour m'avoir permis de lire ce livre coup de cœur.

On y retrouve Chloé qui avait un avenir tout tracé, sauf que jamais rien n'est écris d'avance. Malgré ses bonnes notes, la natation en club au lycée, ses amis.

En natation elle n'est plus au niveau et risque de ne plus faire partie de l'équipe. Elle ne va pas s'attendre à ce que le proviseur du lycée lui propose d'aider Ben en cours et lui en échange lui permettra de remonter le niveau. Sauf qu'elle veux éviter ce type d'homme. Chloé arrivera t'elle à ne pas succomber au charme de Ben?

J'ai de suite accroché à l'histoire si prenante, captivante, addictive, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements et des personnages très attachants. J'adore la plume de l'auteure si addictive.

We find Chloe who had a future all mapped out, except that nothing is written in advance. In spite of her good grades, her swimming club in high school, her friends.

In swimming she is no longer at the level she should be and risks not being part of the team. She doesn't expect the school principal to offer to help Ben in class and in exchange he will allow her to improve her level. Except that she wants to avoid this type of man. Will Chloe be able to resist Ben's charm?

I was immediately hooked on the story, so gripping, captivating, addictive, full of suspense and twists and turns and very endearing characters. I love the author's pen so addictive.
