"A Town Full of Terror"

'A town full of terror', is how the news appeared on the tv in the morning. With the mug in his hand, he tried to look deeper into the news along with his dancing eyes. Obviously, this is not an uncommon news for the city 'Jeekin'.

He planted himself in Jeekin two years before as he had to find a cheaper place to stay, which should be near his workplace. After the heated debate with his parents, he could no longer stay at his birthplace, which is not good for his pride either. His unfinished academic portfolio was in charge of not letting him wear a white-collar shirt. With his passion for vehicles, he succeeded in finding a job as a mechanic, according to his parents, which is not decent at all. His wallet became full only for him to survive. Therefore, searching for a luxurious life is an irony. That is why he ended up at Jeekin. Because of the unstoppable crimes happening in every corner of the town, Jeekin citizens don't think twice about renewing their citizenship.

The mug is empty, but not his mind. The mug was kept on a brick, which had popped up on the wall. However, the bricks create the picture of an abandoned house.

Denim and a blue color t-shirt are his favorite attire. Even though he identifies his t-shirt as blue, others only see its faded version, which is in the process of becoming gray. No crime can stop him from going to work. A shift in his life can be only expected, if he works today. Only a piece of bread became his breakfast today. That does not mean he doesn't have anything to eat, it is because of his unwillingness to open the fridge and spread the butter, according to him which takes much time.

Putting his hands into the vacant pockets of the jeans, he started walking towards the shop. On the way to the shop, he shared only a few smiles, not because he was arrogant. As the first to reach the shop, he has the responsibility of cleaning the terrain and starts working, until a grumpy face appears. Though the face is grumpy, his boss is a friendly person, when no one is around.

The opened door of the shop did not give him a panic attack but filled his face with suspense. Without thinking twice, he tried to look for an answer to the opened door, which did not let the keys in his pocket do their duty. Near an unfixed car, there was a man, sitting and facing a mirror, revealing a familiar grumpy face.

'Better I didn't waste my time, thinking twice' his thoughts struggled.

'Early today?' his voice came out, out of the struggling thoughts.

'JK, do you know what happened to me yesterday? The boss is questioning something, which is not interesting to hear at all.

'What happened?' JK tried to soften his voice.

'I was on the way home yesterday evening. A few steps away from home, I realized that I have forgotten the front door keys. but I decided not to turn back, but to enter from the broken window at the side of the house. I entered the room, do you know, who I saw yesterday?'

'How come I know' JK thought, but told something else.

'Who was there?' 'A thief?'

'A man covered with blood appeared in front of me, laughing and saying that he killed my wife'

'Killed your wife?'

'Yes'

'Then ?' suspense raised again involuntarily.

'I had the hammer in my hand, which I used to break the half-broken window to clear my entrance to the room. 'I jumped into his face and hit him without stopping'

'Are you serious?' now, JK is on the way to having a panic attack.

'Yes,' the boss looked at JK with tears in his eyes.

'But your wife died two years ago' 'What happened to that man?' 'what are you doing here?' JK threw questions without giving the boss a chance to talk.

'I KNOW, I KNOW' boss shouted covering his face.

'He is already dead'

'I forgot that my wife is also no more here'

JK rolled his eyes up.

(Names of the characters and cities in the stories are fictional)
