It is after a first life as a thanatopractor that Stanislas Petrosky enters in writing. After which short stories, he starts writing a black romance about the depression L'amante d'Etretat. Today with his character of Requiem, a crazy exorcist priest, he equals the great authors of black burlesque with a style mixing humor and thriller.

Mon avis :
Je tiens particulièrement à remercier les éditions French Pulp et le site Netgalley qui m'ont permis de lire ce livre qui à été un vrai coup de cœur.
J'ai accroché de suite aux personnages Edna et Gunther. Je me suis vite attaché à eux. Gunther un jeune allemand qui est opposé au régime nazi mais qui dessine super bien, il va se retrouver illustrateur attitré au camp de Ravensbruck, il va interprété la vie et la mort dans ses dessins sous les ordres des nazis. Il à vécu l'horreur sous la pointe de son crayon. Il va y rencontrer la jolie Edna et va tout faire pour la sauver. Dommage que l'auteur n'en parle pas assez dans son livre.
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché à l'histoire si émouvante à certains passages, captivante, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages très attachants surtout celui d'Edna. On se demande ce qu'elle à pu devenir à la fin.
My point of view :
I would especially like to thank French Pulp and the Netgalley website for allowing me to read this book, which was a real favorite.
I immediately fell in love with the characters Edna and Gunther. I quickly became attached to them. Gunther, a young German who is opposed to the Nazi regime but who draws superbly, he will find himself an illustrator assigned to the camp of Ravensbruck, he will interpret life and death in his drawings under the orders of the Nazis. He experienced horror under the tip of his pencil. He will meet the pretty Edna and will do everything to save her. It's a pity that the author doesn't talk about it enough in his book.
A book read in one go, so much so that I hung on to the story, so moving at certain passages, captivating, full of suspense and twists and turns with very endearing characters, especially Edna's. One wonders what happened to her at the end.
