Né au Royaume-Uni en 1964, Nick Alexander a beaucoup voyagé. Il a vécu et travaillé dans son pays natal puis aux États-Unis avant de s’installer en France où il réside actuellement. Il est l’auteur de À la recherche du petit ami insaisissable, La Femme du photographe, L’Autre Fils, Une bouteille de larmes et Quand on n’a que l’amour. Les Fjords de Santorin est son quinzième roman.
Nick vit dans les Alpes du Sud avec son compagnon, quatre chats adorables et trois truites.
A few words about the author :
Born in the United Kingdom in 1964, Nick Alexander has travelled extensively. He lived and worked in his native country and then in the United States before moving to France where he currently resides. He is the author of À la recherche du petit ami insaisissable, La Femme du photographe, L'Autre Fils, Une bouteille de larmes and Quand on n'a que l'amour. The Fjords of Santorini is his fifteenth novel.
Nick lives in the Southern Alps with his companion, four adorable cats and three trout.

Pendant leur voyage vers la magnifique île de Santorin, il devient vite évident que le choix de destination n’est pas aussi anodin que le pensait Becky. Laura lui cache quelque chose depuis toujours, et elle est déjà venue ici.

Je tiens à remercier les éditions Amazon Crossing et le site Netgalley de m'avoir permis de lire ce livre.
Ce livre à été un vrai coup de cœur à lire, il nous raconte l'histoire d'une mère et de sa fille qui partent en vacances sur l'ile de Santorin et sa mère lui cache un secret bien enfouit depuis pas mal de temps.
On y retrouve la jolie Becky qui ne sait pas qui est son père et sa mère ne veux surtout pas en entendre parler. Quant sa mère Laura décide de s'envoler pour la Grèce sur un coup de tête, Becky est décidée de la suivre pour en apprendre plus sur ces racines. Becky sais que ce voyage n'est pas des plus banals, elle le sait sa mère lui cache quelque chose. Sa mère est déjà venu ici. Et ce il y à vingt cinq ans et c'est un lourd passé qui la rattrape et la vérité éclate au grand jour. Becky et Laura sauront elles vivre heureuse?
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché de suite à l'histoire si émouvante, captivante, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages tellement attachants. Cela me donne envie de lire le livre par le même auteur qui sort sous peu : "A la poursuite de Zoé"

I would like to thank Amazon Crossing and Netgalley for allowing me to read this book.
This book has been a real favorite to read, it tells the story of a mother and her daughter who go on vacation on the island of Santorini and her mother hides a secret that has been buried for quite some time.
We find the pretty Becky who doesn't know who her father is and her mother doesn't want to hear about it. When her mother Laura decides to fly to Greece on a whim, Becky is decided to follow her to learn more about her roots. Becky knows that this trip is not the most ordinary, she knows that her mother is hiding something from her. Her mother has been here before. And that was twenty-five years ago and it's a heavy past that catches up with her and the truth comes out in the open. Will Becky and Laura know how to live happily?
A book read in one go, so much so that I immediately fell in love with the story, so moving, captivating, full of suspense and twists and turns with such endearing characters. It makes me want to read the book by the same author who will be coming out soon: "A la poursuite de Zoé" (The road to Zoé).
