Résumé :
L’inspectrice Livia Lone, spécialiste des crimes sexuels, est de retour à un poste au sein d'une unité d'élite gouvernementale luttant contre les trafics d'êtres humains. C’est l'occasion rêvée de se rendre en Thaïlande pour liquider Rithisak Sorm, la tête pensante de la machination dont elle a été victime dans son enfance. Mais après le fiasco d’une première tentative, Livia découvre qu'un ancien sniper de la marine, Dox, veut lui aussi régler le compte de Sorm.
Ils comprennent vite que, malgré leurs différences, une collaboration sera nécessaire s'ils veulent atteindre leur objectif et rendre justice. Mais, ils ignorent qu'en menaçant Sorm, ils mettent aussi en danger un trafic de grande envergure incriminant les plus hautes sphères des services du renseignement américain.
Éliminer Sorm s'avérera finalement l'objectif le plus simple de la mission... Le véritable défi sera de déjouer les plans de vengeance de ses protecteurs.
Summary :
Sex crimes detective Livia Lone is back in a job with an elite government unit fighting human trafficking. It's the perfect opportunity to travel to Thailand to liquidate Rithisak Sorm, the mastermind of the scheme she was a victim of as a child. But after the fiasco of a first attempt, Livia discovers that a former sniper of the navy, Dox, also wants to settle the account of Sorm.
They soon realize that, despite their differences, they will have to work together if they want to achieve their goal and bring justice. What they don't know is that by threatening Sorm, they are also endangering a large-scale smuggling operation that incriminates the highest levels of American intelligence.
Eliminating Sorm will prove to be the easiest part of the mission... The real challenge will be to thwart his protectors' plans for revenge.

Je tiens à remercier les éditions Amazon Publishing France et le site Netgalley de m'avoir permis de lire ce livre.
On y retrouve Livia Lone inspectrice spécialisée dans les crimes sexuels qui fait son retour dans une unité d'élite gouvernementale pour lutter contre le trafic d'être humains. Pour elle cela est tout bénéfique, se rendre en Thaïlande pour tenter de tuer celui qui était à la tête de la machination dont elle a été victime dans son enfance. Et elle va apprendre qu'elle n'est pas la seule à vouloir sa peau.
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché à l'histoire si prenante, captivante, addictive, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages attachants.

We find Livia Lone, a detective specialized in sex crimes, who is back in an elite government unit to fight against human trafficking. For her it is all beneficial, going to Thailand to try to kill the one who was at the head of the machination of which she was victim in her childhood. And she will learn that she is not the only one who wants her skin.
A book read in one go so much I was hooked on the story so gripping, captivating, addictive, full of suspense and twists with endearing characters.
