Je tiens particulièrement à remercier les éditions Outskirts Press, Inc. et le site Netgalley de m'avoir permis de lire ce livre.
En lisant ce livre on apprend que la vie n'est jamais statique, que lorsque l'on croit avoir tout son contrôle, tout se brise et la vie d'autrefois suit des directions inimaginables. Ce livre nous parle de la perte, de la guérison, de l'éloignement et de la réconciliation.
On y retrouve la jeune Kate qui est sous le choc, sa fille qui à disparue se trouve à l'hôpital de San Francisco. Cela fais dix ans qu'elle ne l'a pas vue depuis son adolescence. Et elle est en train de mourir.
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché à l'histoire si émouvante, addictive, captivante, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages très attachants. J'adore la plume de l'auteure.

In reading this book one learns that life is never static, that when you think you have all your control, everything breaks down and the life you once had goes in unimaginable directions. This book is about loss, healing, estrangement and reconciliation.
It is about the young Kate who is in shock, her missing daughter is in the hospital in San Francisco. It's been ten years since she last saw her as a teenager. And she is dying.
A book read in one sitting, I was so hooked on the story, so moving, addictive, captivating, full of suspense and twists and turns with very endearing characters. I love the author's writing.
